2012 State Bar Champ!!

Awesome First Level Eight Year! The West Virginia State Gymnastics Meet was held in Ona, WV, and Rylie received a Gold medal in bars, Tied for Silver Medal Beam, and Silver Medal All Around. A very successful first year in level eight competitive gymnastics. She qualified for Regionals and will be competing around the end of April. To qualify for Regionals, the gymnast must score at least a 34.0 all around and be in the top six scorers. Her all around was 35.700. Her season best AA was 36.10 this year. Rylie now plans to train for Regionals, and then is looking forward to learning increased difficulty in her level eight skills. She has plans to go to Woodward and WVU gymnastics camp this summer. Rylie still makes straight A's, runs track, plays clarinet in the band, and has been accepted into the gifted program at her middle school. Here is a joined video of all of her routines. Great job Rylie!!

Girl Power Cincinnati 2012

A really late Saturday night meet in Cincinnati, OH. It was a fun two night stay and the hotel was great! Rylie had a good meet with 35.550 all around bringing home another all around trophy. Rylie again went four for four which was amazing due to the fact the girl competing in front of her had a bad fall breaking the beam. In spite of being shook up, and the long wait while the beam was repaired, she held on and did great. Rylie took her best friend Hailey along for the trip and the girls had a lot of fun. All the girls ended up in Rylie's room to hang out and it was like having a pre-birthday party. Rylie will turn 12 years old in just five days.

Mardis Gras Meet in Hershey PA! Another Silver Medal All Around!!

Rylie had a great meet in Hershey PA. The Mardi Gras theme had everyone in a party mood. The girls decorated their own masks and entered the gym in full Mardi Gras attire. Rylie had her season best in bars and floor, placed in all four events and earned a Silver Medal for All Around Score of 35.950 Hershey's Chocolate World was a lot of fun and lots of chocolate was had by all. Rylie made her own candy bar, toured the chocolate factory simulation, and had a good swim in the pool! Only one more meet to go before the WV State Meet. Next week it's off to Cinncinati!!

Here are a few videos highlighting some of her best moves this meet.

Second Gymnastics Meet of 2012 Youngstown, OH Silver on Floor!!

Rylie's 2nd meet of the 2012 season was in Ohio. She had an overall score of 34.550 and took 2nd place in the floor among all age groups. She looked great. The lighting was not good enough to post video but I have some still shots of her floor. She also did great on the other events going "four for four" meaning no falls. I love this picture of her looking like she is flying like supergirl through the air with her coach, Gary underneath looking on.
