The Level Eight Competition Season Begins!!

Rylie and her teammate Jordan began their level eight competition with the Christmas on the Chesapeake in Baltimore, MD. The city was beautiful and the gymnastics meet was huge with over 2000 gymnasts competing. Rylie began her level eight season with a great meet! She nailed all four events bringing home silver for beam and bronze for vault and bars and floor. She tied for third place all around with an all around score of 35.30. During her visit to this beautiful city, Rylie toured the USS Constellation and learned quite a bit about the history of the old ship. She even assisted in cleaning the ship's gun after it was fired.

They had fun swimming, dancing and staying at the Towers dorm. She had a blast with her teammates and made a lot of new friends too! She is getting ready for level eight season.

2011 Gatlinburg Classic

Rylie had a great time in Gatlinburg, TN and also had a great meet. Three golds and a bronze including First Place All Around. Attached is a video of all four of her events. Mountain Magic placed third as a team. This was an interesting meet with male and female gymnasts from levels 3 through 10, and several teams from eight states competing. This is always a fun meet because of so many things to do when not competing. This year, Rylie visited the Sky Lift, rode the big Tram up to the top of the mountain, and visited Ripley's Believe it or Not and Guinness World Record Museum.

She received First Place All Around medaling in all four events with total of 35.55. This meet was held in Waynesboro, PA just outside of Hagerstown. It was the first trip there for Mountain Magic. I tried out a new camera with an attempt at some action shots on the vault. I'm still learning that technique. The Level Seven team took Second Place, and the Level Nine team took First Place. Also take a look at the new competition leos! They really look great and finally got here!

First Use of Giants in Competition!

Rylie had an awesome bar routine using her giants for the first time in competition. Their second meet this year was held in Mt. Pleasant, PA. This hockey arena is not the greatest place to get good video. The lights are low and we are behind a hockey cage. She is in the middle of the video in pink. Mountain Magic Level Seven Team placed second out of eight teams at this meet. Rylie did such a good job as usual and brought home four medals.
