First Meet of the 2010 Season. Rylie wins All Around Gold!

Rylie really bouncing back after a bout with the swine flu. She did very well in her first meets of the season, The Big Dog Meet in Charleston, WV. Rylie took First in Beam, Floor, and Vault with Second in Bars. Rylie also made the finals in three out of four events. To make the finals means your score has to be in the top six of all the ages in the level six. Rylie is still really enjoying her gymnastics and loves being part of the team of Mountain Magic.

Rylie's team, Mountain Magic also won First Place with all the girls doing an amazing job. Every girl on the level six team made the finals in at least one or more events. These girls are awesome!

Here is a video of Rylie's four events and her three finals events. We are so proud of her.

Summer Gymnastics Picnic at Rock Lake

Gymnastics is not all work and no play. These girls were having a great time at Rock Lake. Rylie did an amazing belly flop off the high slide. Everyone including parents played volleyball, swam, and ate lots and lots of food. At the end of the day, the group went to view Valley Falls. I am waiting for a pic of the girls on the rocks watching the falls. My camera was out of film. When I get it, I will add it. It was a great day just to hang out and have a good time.

Afterwards, pizza and cake was enjoyed by all. A family celebration was had at Texas Roadhouse with Rylie riding the birthday "saddle" You can check out those pics on Rylie's Family Blog (link at the right) Happy birthday Rylie!

Here is a short video summarizing Rylies four events at the States. I unfortunately did not get both her vault videos and the one that was scored is missing, but I think I got everything else. She's worked really hard this year.

Once Upon a Time Meet in Monessen, PA

Rylie once again does such a good job! This was such a fun meet. Rylie is shown here with her all around Trophy and Gold Medals. She is doing so well this year. The awards were held with a castle backdrop on the stage and the top all around scoring girls had a real tiara placed on their heads by an actual "king". Rylie was more excited about the tiara than anything else. Mountain Magic team also won the First Place team award. Rylie also had a meet at the Arnold in Columbus, OH a couple weeks ago. She once again did her thing and came home with a couple of first place finishes and second place all around. I was not able to go to this meet so I don't have any pictures. I have video from the last two meets and will try to pull a couple of things out for the blog. Rylie is practicing hard and getting ready for the final meet of the season, the States. I'm sure she will finish the season out with a bang, but more importantly, she is having such a good time with her teammates. The entire team is doing an awesome job this year! By the way........Rylie just had a birthday and is now nine years old. Check out her Family Blog (link at the right) for a pic of her birthday shopping trip and dinner at Texas Roadhouse.

Landover MD 2009 Meet. Amazing Bar Routine!

Rylie once again had an awesome meet in Landover MD. Here is a sample of her bar routine which scored 9.35. The lighting wasn't all that great but you should be able to see it OK. Rylie scored 36.25 all around. She is having a great year. She says this year is actually the best so far, because she is close with her teammates and having so much fun traveling to different cities. I will say driving on the capital beltway on our way to the meet wasn't fun at all. The hotel had a great pool and was really nice.

Mountain Magic Wins First Place Team in the Gatlinburg Classic!. Rylie First All Around!

Beautiful Gatlinburg, TN in the Smoky Mountains. Mountain Magic did their thing and looked fantastic! First Place Team, Rylie with First Place All Around with a score of 36.345. Those southern judges were pretty tough and the competition was really good. A great meet to go to. The meet was fast and very well run. The girls had a lot of fun when not competing. Rylie rode a ski lift, swam, and shopped the bright colored streets and shops of Gatlinburg. Video of Rylie's vault including her "blooper vault" which had her coach, Gary hooting with laughter after the meet is shown here with Rylie's permission.

Stars and Stripes Invitational Erie PA

Rylie once again had a great meet. She took First All Around with First in Vault and Bars. Third in Beam and Floor. Competition was pretty tough up here and there were 15 girls in her age group. Overall, Rylie had a score of 36.425 , which is her best this season. Her team won second place overall. The girls really looked good. This meet included participants from Canada as well. Once thing about Erie, PA. SNOW! 5 - 8 feet drifts. It was fun to see so much snow. Not so much fun to drive through it.

Mountain Magic Wins Jingle Bell Rock Meet in Mt Pleasant PA

Rylie did an amazing job. She won first all around for this event with two first places in bars and vault. We are so proud of her! The Mountain Magic Team won First Place in this event. Thanks to such an amazing coach, Gary. He really brings out the best in those girls. I plan to add a slideshow of her 08/09 Competition season. Videos were poor quality this meet due to the lighting and conditions in the gym. Once I finish editing, I'll try to see what looks good enough to post.
